Al Marjan Island

Al Marjan is a set of four reclaimed islands off the Ras Al Khaimah coast, and its advantage over the country's other built islands is the view: the Hajar range is behind it, so the same stay reaches a beach and a 1,934-metre summit in one day.

What marks it out

  • Beach on one side, the Hajar range on the other
  • The base for Jebel Jais, ninety minutes up the road
  • Calm water on the inner channels

Getting there

Fifty minutes from Dubai on the coast road, and twenty from Ras Al Khaimah's airport.
