Saadiyat Island
Saadiyat is the island the capital put its museums on: Louvre Abu Dhabi opened here on 11 November 2017 under Jean Nouvel's dome, with further institutions building around it. The seaward side is a protected natural beach where hawksbill turtles nest between spring and summer.
